Mobile maintenance at your hangar, tiedown, or ramp.

RampWorks MX is mobile general aviation maintenance for Central Florida — a Dobbs Flight Service company. We come to the airplane for AOG response and squawks, 50-hour and 100-hour inspections, and on-site service. Work is pulled from manufacturer manuals and service bulletins, not a mechanic's memory. You get a clear estimate and written approval before the job grows.

Aircraft we work on: Cessna and Piper single-engine, fixed tricycle gear aircraft.

What we do

AOG response and squawks

Airplane down, or something isn't right. Call or text with the aircraft, location, the problem, and a callback number. We come to you for diagnosis and corrective work. If the scope grows beyond the estimate, we stop and get your written approval before more labor or parts.

50-hour inspection

On-site 50-hour service at your hangar, tiedown, or ramp — scheduled around your flying, not a shop backlog. Scope follows the manufacturer service interval for your airplane (typically oil and filter plus related look items). You get a written estimate before we start.

100-hour inspection

Mobile 100-hour inspection with A&P return to service. Same standardized process and documentation every time. Discrepancy repairs are quoted separately and done only after written approval. Inspection price covers the inspection labor; parts and corrective work are extra.

Mobile service at hangar, tiedown, or ramp

For covered work, the airplane stays where it earns hours. No ferry into a hangar queue for routine inspections and many squawks. Service area is Central Florida; how far we can reach on a given day depends on timing and location — give us the airport or hangar and we'll confirm.

Pricing

Travel time Suggested

$65/hr

Half the labor rate, portal-to-portal when we travel to your location.

50-hour and 100-hour inspections

You get a written estimate up front (estimated hours × $130/hr) before we start. If the job grows, work pauses for written approval.

  • 50-hour: Quoted up front before we start.
  • 100-hour: Quoted up front before we start. Discrepancy repairs found during the inspection are quoted separately and done only after written approval.

AOG / after-hours

After-hours call-out — responsiveness, not a penalty

When the airplane is down after hours, waiting until a shop opens in the morning often costs more than getting help now. After-hours dispatch from RampWorks MX is priced so everyday GA owners, flight schools, and FBOs can call us first.

How after-hours billing works:

ItemRate
Travel$85 per hour, portal-to-portal
First hour on siteTime-and-a-half — $195 (one-hour minimum)
After the first hour$260 per hour

We confirm priority or after-hours dispatch with you before we roll. Same clear estimate and written approval rules as daytime work.

How pricing works on every job

  1. You tell us the aircraft, where it is, and what's going on.
  2. We give you a clear estimate (labor hours, travel if applicable, known parts).
  3. You approve in writing before we start.
  4. If the job grows, we stop and get written approval before more labor or parts.
